tNotice European eIDAS qualification
How tNotice is qualified in the EU Trusted List as a Qualified Trust Service Provider and what it means for cross-border communications.
European eIDAS qualification is the recognition that gives tNotice legal force across the European Union. It is not a label: it is the result of a compliance process verified by independent bodies and formally established by the Italian state.
inPoste.it S.p.A. is a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) recognised by the Italian Digital Agency (AgID) under Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS).
The three pillars of the qualification
CSQA certificate of conformity
inPoste.it S.p.A. has implemented an Integrated Management System (IMS) certified by CSQA. The certificate attests conformity to EU Regulation No 910/2014 (eIDAS) for qualified certified electronic delivery services.
CSQA is the accredited conformity assessment body that verified that tNotice services meet the technical and organisational requirements set by eIDAS for qualification.
AgID directorial determination
The directorial determination issued by the Italian Digital Agency (AgID) — under the Presidency of the Council of Ministers — formally establishes the European qualification of the tNotice® service by inPoste.it S.p.A.
AgID is the Italian supervisory authority for trust services and the body responsible for listing qualified Italian operators in the EU Trusted List. The determination is the administrative act that officially recognises the qualification. The provider entry is available on the ACN portal (opens in new window).
EU Trusted List
inPoste.it S.p.A. is listed in the European EU Trusted List as a QTSP for the tNotice® service:
- inPoste.it S.p.A. — EU Trust List, SERCQ service (opens in new window)
- inPoste.it S.p.A. — EU Trusted List Browser (opens in new window)
The EU Trusted List is the official register maintained by the competent authority of each member state and consolidated at the European level by the Commission. Being listed carries direct legal effects: qualified services benefit from a legal presumption of validity across all member states, with no need for additional national recognition.
What this means for tNotice users
A communication sent with tNoticeQ produces legally enforceable effects across the European Union. The sender does not need to consider the recipient’s jurisdiction: eIDAS qualification guarantees cross-border recognition by law, not by agreement.
For organisations operating across multiple countries, international legal proceedings or recipients in other member states, this qualification is what makes tNotice usable uniformly across the entire European market.
